V-Mart’s Q1FY27 Revenue Rises To Rs 1,089 Cr, SSSG At 9%

V-Mart Retail Reports Q1 Net Profit Of Rs 12 Crore

During the quarter, the company opened 15 stores and closed one store, resulting in a total operating portfolio of 591 stores

Value fashion retailer V-Mart has reported a 23 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in its revenue from operations in the first quarter of the current financial year (Q1FY27). The company’s revenue rose to Rs 1,089 crore from Rs 885 crore in Q1FY26.

Sharing the business update in an exchange filing, the company said that the same-store sales growth (SSSG) was 9 per cent for the quarter, with V-Mart at 8 per cent and Unlimited at 13 per cent. During the quarter, the company opened 15 stores and closed one store, resulting in a total operating portfolio of 591 stores as at 30 June 2026.

The company added that the 15 new stores include seven stores in Uttar Pradesh, two stores in Uttarakhand and one store each in Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, New Delhi, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

Value fashion retailers have reported strong numbers in the opening quarter of the current fiscal. V2 Retail has reported a 58 per cent year-on-year increase in standalone revenue to Rs 997 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, supported by healthy demand, higher store productivity and an accelerated expansion across tier 2 and 3 markets.

According to the business update filed with the exchanges, the growth came despite a higher base in the year-ago period, indicating sustained consumer demand and the company’s ability to scale its value-fashion business.

V2 Retail recorded 7.5 per cent same-store sales growth (SSSG) during the quarter, reflecting stronger performance from its existing outlets. The retailer attributed the improvement to a data-led assortment strategy and a product-first merchandising approach that increased sell-through while reducing markdowns. Better merchandise planning also helped the company maintain pricing discipline and support profitability.

Store productivity remained resilient even as the retailer continued opening new outlets. Monthly sales per square foot reached Rs 886 during the quarter, driven by faster inventory replenishment, sharper merchandising and tighter inventory management practices. The company said these initiatives improved operational efficiency despite the addition of a significant number of new stores to its network.
