These figures come from the big sales of Amazon and Flipkart, along with Myntra also contributing significantly
CashKaro, an Indian cashback platform, has reported to break all previous records by generating over Rs 150 crore in sales and registering 9 million clicks within just six hours of the Amazon Great Indian Festival and Flipkart Big Billion Days festive sales. This shows the growing trend of Indian shoppers leveraging cashback deals during festive shopping sprees, especially through platforms like CashKaro, which offer added savings on top of the discounts available on major ecommerce sites.
The exclusive Day 1 sales were available only to Amazon Prime and Flipkart Plus members, with the full sales opening to all users later. The surge in clicks and transactions underscores the increasing popularity of using cashback platforms to maximise savings, with CashKaro at the forefront of this trend.
According to the official statement by CashKaro, in the first six hours alone, CashKaro achieved over Rs 150 crore in sales, largely driven by high-demand categories like electronics, fashion, and home products. Popular items included cell phones and accessories, major home appliances, and beauty and grooming products. The peak shopping window was between midnight and 1 AM, as eager customers rushed to take advantage of exclusive early access deals.
Rohan Bhargava, Co-founder of CashKaro, expressed his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled with the numbers achieved in just six hours of the festive sale on Amazon and Flipkart. Recording 9 million clicks and Rs 150 crore in sales on Day 1 alone is an incredible milestone for us. This result is a testament to our team’s hard work and the growing trust of our users, who rely on us to provide the best cashback deals in the industry.”
Festive Shopping Trends
The rapid growth in online transactions during these sales points to a major shift in consumer behaviour. Increasingly, shoppers are opting for digital platforms like CashKaro to enhance their savings during high-demand events like the festive season. Electronics, fashion, and home products consistently rank as the top categories for purchases, as consumers seek out both luxury and essential items at discounted prices.
In terms of geographical trends, major cities like Delhi, Patna, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Kochi showed the highest levels of shopping activity. These cities are known for their tech-savvy consumers, who are quick to take advantage of limited-time offers and cashback deals.
Myntra’s Big Fashion Festival Surge
In addition to the Amazon and Flipkart sales, CashKaro also saw a massive response during Myntra’s Fashion Festival Sale, with 1.1 crore clicks and Rs 8.5 crore in sales recorded on the first day alone. The fashion sale, which draws a wide demographic of shoppers, saw high interest in apparel, footwear, personal care, and accessories. Peak shopping activity was observed at midnight, noon, and around 3 PM.
With 5.3 million clicks and Rs 1.35 crore in sales within the first 12 hours of Myntra’s Big Fashion Festive Sale, CashKaro is poised for a 2x growth in transactions compared to last year’s festive sales.
Swati Bhargava, Co-founder of CashKaro, emphasised the platform’s commitment to driving meaningful business growth for its partners during the festive season, stating, “Our primary focus is on offering the best deals and promotions to our users while enabling our partners to achieve significant growth. We are excited by the results so far and look forward to continuing this momentum throughout the festive sales.”
As the festive shopping season continues, CashKaro aims to set even higher records, both in terms of transactions and user engagement, while helping millions of shoppers unlock maximum savings.
