13th edition to feature 150 million products, 1.4 million sellers and expanded Ekart and Flipkart Minutes networks across India
Flipkart will kick off the 13th edition of its flagship festive sale, The Big Billion Days (TBBD), on October 9, with record seller participation, 150 million products and an expanded supply chain network spanning more than 8,200 fulfilment and delivery facilities across the country.
Early access to the sale will begin on October 8 for Flipkart Plus, BLACK and Flipkart credit card members.
The ecommerce marketplace said TBBD 2026 will see more than 60 per cent growth in transacting sellers over last year, while the selection available to customers is set to double. More than 2.5 crore units from MSMEs, small sellers, artisans and weavers have been pre-positioned at Ekart fulfilment centres ahead of the festive season.
The platform has more than 500 million registered customers and over 1.4 million sellers, according to the company.
“This is not a Flipkart story. It is an Indian story. It is what India has built, with Flipkart as one part of it,” said Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO, Flipkart Group.
The 2026 edition will feature products across categories including electronics, mobiles, fashion, beauty and personal care, large appliances, everyday essentials and festive gifting. Flipkart said the event will also feature its widest-ever new product line-up across mobiles, large appliances and beauty and personal care, along with more than 1,200 fashion trends at their lowest prices of the year.
Quick Commerce Expands Beyond Metros
Flipkart Minutes, the group’s quick-commerce business, has grown four-fold year-on-year and now operates across more than 150 cities and 9,000-plus PIN codes through nearly 1,200 micro-fulfilment centres.
During TBBD, Minutes will offer more than 77,000 products across over 1,400 categories, ranging from daily essentials and fresh produce to electronics, fashion and festive gifting.
The company said Tier-II and smaller cities, including Patna, Jaipur, Guwahati, Siliguri and Salem, are emerging as key growth centres for the business, indicating the expansion of quick commerce beyond major metros.
Ekart Adds 14 Million Cubic Feet Capacity
Flipkart’s supply chain arm Ekart has added 14 million cubic feet of warehousing capacity ahead of TBBD, representing a 50 per cent increase in storage capacity. Automation has also increased peak processing capacity by more than 30 per cent, the company said.
Flipkart has added more than 900 delivery hubs and 750-plus PIN codes to its network, including locations in Leh, Kargil and the Northeast. The expansion is aimed at enabling same-day and next-day deliveries across a wider geographical footprint.
The company said more than 2.5 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities have been created for the festive season, including nearly 75,000 opportunities for first-time workforce entrants. Women account for more than 20 per cent of Flipkart’s supply chain workforce.
AI To Drive Festive Shopping
Artificial intelligence will be central to Flipkart’s TBBD 2026 shopping experience, with customers able to discover products through text, voice and images.
The company’s conversational AI assistant is designed to help shoppers move from broad requirements to specific products, while an AI-curated feed will personalise product and offer recommendations.
Flipkart is also deploying AI through its Creator Studio, which allows sellers and creators to generate catalogue-based content at scale. Its Delivery Intelligence platform uses AI-powered geocoding and last-mile orchestration to improve delivery speed and accuracy.
The company said its festive infrastructure this year is designed to support the growing participation of sellers, consumers and workers across India’s digital commerce ecosystem.
