Swiggy’s quick commerce arm expands festive offerings with certified gold and silver coins from top jewellers
Swiggy’s Instamart will deliver one-kilogram silver bricks and certified gold and silver coins during Dhanteras, expanding its quick commerce offerings beyond daily essentials. The service will be available across major cities, the company said.
Instamart has tied up with jewellery brands including Kalyan Jewellers, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, MMTC-PAMP, Muthoot Exim, Mia by Tanishq, Voylla, and Gullak to offer 24K and 22K gold coins and 999 purity silver coins. All products are certified and carry hallmarking where applicable, as per the company statement.
Gold coins can be ordered in denominations between 0.1 g and 10 g. Silver jewellery and utensils will also be available for delivery. For Dhanteras, the first 10,000 customers purchasing gold coins of 1 g or more will receive a Rs 100 discount, applicable from 7 am on October 18.
Instamart said demand for gold and silver products on its platform has grown steadily during the past festive seasons, particularly during Akshaya Tritiya and Diwali. The 1 g gold coin has been the most ordered denomination, with cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Ahmedabad leading in precious metal purchases last year.
Beyond precious metals, Instamart is also expanding its festive catalogue to include cookware, thalis, pressure cookers, and kitchen utensils, aligning with Dhanteras’ tradition of new household purchases.
Instamart operates in over 125 cities and continues to widen its product categories as part of its quick delivery network.
