Entrepreneur shares optimism on India’s innovation ecosystem, underscores policy support and ease of doing business
Aadit Palicha, co-founder of quick commerce platform Zepto, met the Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and shared his perspective on India’s growing startup ecosystem.
In a post on social media platform X, Goyal also highlighted the positive momentum within India’s startup landscape, pointing to the enabling policy environment and increasing government engagement with new-age businesses.
From the founder’s perspective, the interaction reflects a broader shift towards recognising startups as key drivers of economic growth, job creation and innovation. He emphasised that constructive dialogue between policymakers and entrepreneurs is helping address operational challenges and unlock new growth opportunities.
Palicha also underscored the importance of ease of doing business and regulatory clarity in scaling digital-first ventures such as Zepto, which operates in the highly competitive quick commerce segment. He noted that continued reforms and infrastructure support would be critical in sustaining the sector’s rapid expansion.
The exchange comes at a time when India’s startup ecosystem is witnessing strong investor interest and evolving regulatory frameworks, particularly in sectors such as e-commerce, logistics and consumer technology.
Industry observers believe such engagements between government leadership and founders signal a collaborative approach towards shaping policy, fostering innovation and strengthening India’s position as a global startup hub.
