Brune & Bareskin To Expand To 125 Stores

Jalandhar-based brand eyes aggressive growth, with smaller cities and online sales driving expansion plans beyond metros

Footwear and accessories brand Brune & Bareskin plans to expand its offline presence to 125 stores and has set a revenue target of Rs 500 crore (USD 60 million), the company.
The Jalandhar-based company, founded in 2015 by Tabby Bhatia, has been growing at about 50 per cent annually. It said demand from smaller cities, supported by sales through its online platform Voganow.com, is driving growth beyond metros.
The company reported revenue of Rs 3.5 crore in FY21, rising to Rs 8.8 crore in FY22 and Rs 15.7 crore in FY23. It expects to close FY24 with Rs 25 crore. The new Rs 500 crore target reflects longer-term expansion plans.
“Tier-1 cities remain its stronghold, increasing demand from Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, supported by a tech-driven e-commerce platform, has fueled its reach and accessibility”, the company said in a statement.
The company derives 60 per cent of its sales from online channels and the rest from physical outlets in Jalandhar, Delhi, Ludhiana and Bathinda. Stores range from 1,000 to 4,600 square feet.
Brune & Bareskin, known for its hand-painted Patina leather technique, sells more than 2,500 products across footwear, bags, apparel and accessories. The company said in the statement that they have a customer base of over two lakh, with about 75 per cent repeat buyers.
The company has collaborated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Indian Premier League teams Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, and Reliance Corporate. Its products have been worn by cricketer M.S. Dhoni and actors Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan.
India’s leather goods market was valued at USD 13.4 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 20.1 billion by 2033, according to IMARC Group. The luxury leather segment is expected to reach USD 1.55 billion in 2025.
“We are thrilled to celebrate 10 glorious years of Brune & Bareskin. What began as a dream to build a global luxury brand from India has today evolved into a thriving community of loyal customers who trust our craftsmanship and vision,” said Tabby Bhatia, Founder and CEO, Brune & Bareskin.
The company also plans to enter international markets within two years.
