CaratLane Opens New Chennai Store To Celebrate 17 Yrs

The jewellery brand has reported 30 per cent revenue growth in Tamil Nadu, has named actress Kayadu Lohar as its brand ambassador

CaratLane, the omnichannel jewellery retailer, opened a new 1,400 sq. ft. store on Usman Road in Chennai to mark its 17th anniversary. The launch was attended by Tamil actress and brand associate Kayadu Lohar. The expansion strengthens the company’s retail footprint in Tamil Nadu, one of its largest regional markets.

CaratLane reported nearly 30 per cent growth in revenue from Tamil Nadu for FY26 (year-to-date till August) compared with the same period last year. Within the state, Chennai recorded a 33 per cent rise, reinforcing its position as a key market for the brand’s South India operations. The new outlet adds to CaratLane’s network in the region and expands access for customers in the city’s central jewellery district.

The Usman Road outlet introduces a new retail layout that combines digital features with traditional in-store services. The format is part of the company’s effort to integrate its online and offline operations and cater to evolving customer preferences. The store offers collections that include everyday designs as well as occasion-led jewellery, reflecting broader demand patterns across South India.

CaratLane plans to continue growing its retail base in tier-2 and tier-3 towns and develop locally inspired product lines. The company is also investing in technology to improve the customer experience across its digital and physical platforms.
