Interio By Godrej Unveils Craft-led Soft Furnishings

New handcrafted collection targets Rs 5 crore revenue, strengthens sustainable home portfolio

Interio by Godrej has unveiled a new soft furnishings collection, expanding beyond furniture to tap rising demand for craft-driven, design-led home accessories. The brand is targeting Rs 5 crore in revenue from the category as part of its broader home solutions strategy.

Part of the Godrej Enterprises Group, Interio’s debut range includes cushion covers, throws, table linens and rugs crafted using handloom fabrics and hand-embroidered techniques. Through partnerships with artisan collectives such as Heirloom Naga, the company aims to revive indigenous crafts while blending heritage techniques with contemporary aesthetics.

Dr Dev Narayan Sarkar, Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business, said modern Indian homes increasingly demand flexibility, sustainability and aesthetic depth. He described soft furnishings as a “strong growth lever”, particularly as consumers seek accessible ways to refresh interiors without undertaking full renovations.

The collection features non-impression velvets, textured jacquards, handloom-woven fabrics and hand-embroidered detailing, alongside hand-tufted rugs made from Indian wool and viscose. Sustainable practices, including natural dyes and eco-friendly materials, underpin the range. Designed for mix-and-match styling, the products aim to offer versatility across hybrid living spaces.

Priced between Rs 499 and Rs 22,000, the collection is available across Interio stores in metro, Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. The brand operates over 1,000 retail outlets nationwide and plans to expand its home accessories portfolio further in the coming months.
