The Indian Garage Co. (TIGC), a direct-to-consumer (D2C) fashion brand that saw Aditya Birla Group’s TMRW investing Rs 155 crore last year, opened its first Exclusive Brand Outlet (EBO) in Bengaluru on Sunday. The grand launch saw Indian cricket sensation and brand ambassador, Suryakumar Yadav (Sky), who was the star guest for the event.
The opening was a blend of fashion, culture, and community, kicking off a new chapter for TIGC’s expansion in India’s fashion retail sector. Anant Tanted, Founder and CEO of The Indian Garage Co., along with Sky, led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting. Yadav added extra excitement to the event by shopping at the store, becoming its first customer, and mingling with attendees.
The four-day event started with an influencer party that featured 100 influencers from across India, showcasing street style in a lively fashion walk. Days 2 and 3 celebrated TIGC’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) customers, investors, and suppliers, while the final day marked the official launch with Suryakumar Yadav’s appearance. The cricketer also filmed engaging video content with TIGC to further promote the brand.
Speaking at the launch, Anant Tanted shared his vision for the brand’s growth: “Today, we take a bold step forward in our journey, bringing our vision of accessible, high-quality fashion for the Indian consumer to life. We plan to expand to 100 stores across India in the next 3-5 years.”
Suryakumar Yadav expressed his excitement, saying, “Wishing TIGC great success in their retail foray! It’s a pleasure to be here at the opening of this remarkable store. The brand truly embodies the spirit of modern fashion, perfectly aligning with my style.”
