MakeMyTrip, Axis Bank Roll Out Long Weekend Travel Deals Through March 2027

The partnership will offer Axis Bank credit cardholders discounts across flights, hotels, holidays, buses, cabs, tours and attractions during key holiday periods

MakeMyTrip and Axis Bank have partnered to offer exclusive travel benefits to customers during key long weekends and peak holiday periods, with the programme running through March 2027.

The partnership comes as travel increasingly shifts from an occasional indulgence to a year-round habit, with consumers opting for shorter and more frequent getaways. Long weekends have emerged as key travel periods, prompting the two companies to build a recurring offer around India’s long weekend calendar.

Under the programme, dedicated booking windows will open ahead of each eligible holiday, giving Axis Bank credit cardholders access to offers across domestic and international flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours and attractions, buses and cabs on the MakeMyTrip platform.

For eligible bookings, customers paying with an Axis Bank credit card will receive a flat 10 per cent instant discount on domestic flights, capped at Rs 1,800, while domestic hotel bookings will qualify for up to 15 per cent off, capped at Rs 5,000.

Similar benefits will be available across international flights and hotels, buses, cabs, tours and attractions. Holiday packages will also qualify for an additional 5 per cent instant discount with Axis Bank credit cards, over and above existing MakeMyTrip holiday offers, subject to a maximum discount of Rs 20,000.

Vinit Bajaj, Group Head – Acquiring and Cards, Axis Bank, said travel remained a key focus area for the bank as customers increasingly sought meaningful experiences and greater value from everyday spending.

“Long weekends are great opportunities for travel and people are making the most of it with short getaways throughout the year,” Bajaj said. He added that the partnership with MakeMyTrip would provide timely travel benefits while strengthening the value offered to Axis Bank credit cardholders.

Raj Rishi Singh, Chief Operating Officer – Flights, Corporate, GCC & Marketing, MakeMyTrip, said the partnership reflected a shift towards marketing around the “right moment” rather than simply seeking visibility.

“This partnership with Axis Bank reflects that shift, showing up with real value exactly when the traveller is deciding, not just when we want to be seen,” Singh said.

The offer will be available at checkout on the MakeMyTrip platform, with the applicable discounts and offer details displayed on the payments page ahead of each long weekend. Full terms and conditions, including minimum booking values, will be announced on the MakeMyTrip app and website ahead of each offer’s go-live date.

The programme will cover eight long-weekend periods, beginning with Gandhi Jayanti from October 2 to 4, 2026, followed by Dussehra from October 18 to 20 and Diwali from November 7 to 9.

The benefits will continue through Christmas from December 25 to 27, New Year from January 1 to 3, 2027, Republic Day from January 24 to 26, Holi from March 20 to 22 and Good Friday from March 26 to 28.
