Surya Roshni plans to leverage its lighting, fans and home appliances portfolio to build a new B2B gifting business
Surya Roshni is targeting Rs 300 crore in revenue from its corporate gifting business by 2030, as the lighting and consumer durables company looks to build a new B2B revenue stream using its existing product portfolio.
The company plans to offer lighting products, fans, home appliances and other utility-led products to corporates, institutions, employees and channel partners. Its gifting propositions will cover employee programmes, festive occasions, corporate milestones and dealer engagement.
Surya Roshni has an annual turnover of more than Rs 7,500 crore, according to its corporate profile, and is also looking to develop customised product combinations, branded products and curated hampers based on corporate requirements and order volumes.
The company has started engaging with the corporate gifting ecosystem through industry exhibitions. Following its participation at Gift Expo in Delhi, it is participating in Gift Expo Bengaluru to showcase its products to corporate buyers, gifting companies, distributors and institutional procurement stakeholders.
“Corporate gifting is evolving beyond traditional merchandise towards products that combine utility, quality and everyday relevance. Our entry into this segment allows us to bring Surya Roshni’s established product capabilities into a new B2B opportunity,” said Vasumitra Pandey, CEO – Lighting and Consumer Durables, Surya Roshni.
Pandey said the company sees potential in utility-led gifting across lighting, fans and home appliances and plans to build the business around institutional relationships, customised offerings and distribution.
The move gives Surya Roshni an additional B2B channel for its consumer products without requiring a separate manufacturing portfolio. The company said its existing distribution and manufacturing capabilities would support the new business.
Surya Roshni, which was founded in 1973, has businesses spanning lighting, consumer durables, wires and cables, fans, home appliances, PVC pipes and steel pipes.
