Amazon Prime increased the number of Pin codes serviced under same-day or next-day delivery, by more than 11 per cent in 2024
Highlighting that it has registered a 26 per cent year-on-year increase, Amazon India has stated that it has delivered more than 41 crore items the same day or the next day for its paid users- prime members. The ecommerce firm added that in 2024, prime members in India saved an average of over Rs 3,300 on fast, free delivery; more than two times the annual prime membership fee.
To deliver the largest selection of items, Amazon Prime increased the number of Pin codes serviced under same-day or next-day delivery, by more than 11 per cent in 2024, giving more and more customers across Indian towns and cities access to prime benefits.

In 2024, close to 20 crore units from everyday essentials selection were delivered the same or next day in India, an increase of nearly 23 per cent year-over-year. This was coupled with 20 thousand items delivered in four hours, 10 lakh items the same-day and 40 lakh items delivered the next day, as per the company’s statement.
The company stated that prime members across Bangalore, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Pune preferred fresh onions as the most ordered item under same-day delivery. Chennai and Kolkata ordered fortune sunlite refined sunflower oil and fortune premium kachi ghani pure mustard oil, respectively. Prime members in Hyderabad kept it cool with fresh cucumbers as their most preferred item ordered under same-day delivery in 2024.
