Bikano, a brand in the Indian snacks and sweets industry, had the virtual inauguration of its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Jewar, Greater Noida, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the World Food India 2024 event held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The new facility, established with an investment of over Rs 300 crore, is a part of Bikano’s ambitious expansion strategy. This plant is set to enhance Bikano’s production capacity, streamline supply chain efficiencies, and cater to the growing demand for its products in the northern and eastern regions of India.
With this new facility, Bikano aims to achieve a turnover of over Rs 300 crore in the fiscal year 2024-25. The plant will not only boost production but also reduce transportation costs and improve service delivery to customers in Tier 2 and 3 cities, as well as rural areas, as per the statement from the company.
“Our investment in the Jewar plant underscores our commitment to providing high-quality snacks and sweets to our consumers. This new facility will help us enhance our market presence and deliver a wider range of products with improved supply chain efficiencies,” stated Kush Aggarwal, Marketing Head, Bikano.
The company is prioritising eco-friendly sourcing and ensuring that renewable ingredients are used. It has been focussing on energy efficiency through widespread LED adoption, reducing power consumption. Furthermore, the company aims to lower its carbon footprint by shifting towards renewable energy in its manufacturing and distribution.
