Reflecting on a year defined by speed, scale and evolving consumer behaviour across India, quick commerce company Zepto stated that Indian consumers saved an estimated Rs 17,000 crore by shopping on the platform in 2025. Milk emerged as the key performer in Mumbai and Delhi NCR, data showed.
During 2025, the Zepto app was opened over 346 crore times. The company noted that delivery partners collectively travelled 24,52,95,068 kilometre and the fastest delivery recorded during the year was completed in just 48 seconds.
Most ordered items in Mumbai were Amul milk (90 lakh units), onions (51 lakh units) and Bisleri water (17 lakh units). 7,84,637 litres of energy drinks were consumed, as per the data. Zepto added that snacks and condoms were ordered together 37,193 times.
In Delhi NCR, Amul fresh milk (72 lakh units), onions (27 lakh units), Lay’s magic masala (23 lakh units) topped the charts. As the capital battles air pollution, face masks continued to be a key essential, with 1,31,764 units ordered. North Delhi showed a preference for guavas with 4,41,821 units ordered, while South Delhi leaned towards avocados with 3,18,552 units.
Nandini milk (88 lakh units), tomatoes (78 lakh units), Bingo chips (21 lakh units) were the key items in carts in Bengaluru. A total of 69,177 type-c charging cables were ordered, highlighting last-minute tech needs. • Coffee and melatonin gummies were ordered together 5,279 times.
When it comes to big orders, Yasin from Mumbai placed an order worth Rs 1,89,900. On the other hand, Rajkumar L emerged as a true Zepto legend with 5,894 deliveries, averaging 16 orders a day, the company added, while noting that Priyanshu from Gurugram gave out Rs 54,000 in tips.
