Godrej Consumer Products Posts Rs 411 Cr Net Profit In Q4

Godrej Consumer Products Gains On Strong India, Indonesia Sales, Stock Up 3.32%

However, the company reports that demand conditions in India have continued to be impacted by headwinds in urban consumption

Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL), a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) major has reported net profit of Rs 411.9 crore for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025 (Q4FY25), as compared to a loss of Rs 1,893.21 crore in Q4FY24.

The company’s total revenue from operations grew to Rs 3,597.95 crore during the recently concluded quarter from Rs 3,385.61 crore in Q4FY24, as per an exchange filing by the company. In Q4 FY2025, the consolidated organic sales grew by seven per cent in Rs terms year-on-year on the back of underlying volume growth of six per cent. The total expenses in Q4FY25 rose to Rs 3,000.84 crore.

“We delivered a sequentially improving performance in Q4 FY25, despite market conditions remaining the same. Our consolidated organic volumes for Q4FY25 grew by six per cent, led by the India business growing volumes at four per cent and Indonesia growing volumes at five per cent,” highlighted Sudhir Sitapati, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), GCPL.

The company reported that demand conditions in India have continued to be impacted by headwinds in urban consumption. Surge in palm oil prices by more than 50 per cent is negatively impacting its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) margin.

On a full-year basis, the consolidated net profit rose to Rs 1,852.3 crore in FY25 as compared to a loss of Rs 560.55 crore in the financial year 2024. The total income increased to Rs 14,680.41 crore in FY25. The company declared an interim dividend at Rs 5 per share (500 per cent on equity shares of face value of Rs 1 each) for the Financial Year 2025-26. The dividend will be paid on or before Thursday, 5 June 2025.

Buoyed by a good season, the company marked a healthy performance in the household insecticides segment, which grew volumes in strong double-digit. Categories of air fresheners, laundry liquids have continued to deliver strong underlying volume growth, as per the statement. While the home care grew by 14 per cent, the personal care segment grew by four per cent.
