The decision to part ways is based on a mutual agreement, the report notes
Gianfranco D’Attis, the brand Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Italian luxury brand Prada, has decided to leave the firm at the end of the month, Reuters reported. The decision to part ways is based on a mutual agreement, the report noted.
Prada Group CEO Andrea Guerra will assume the role of brand CEO on an interim basis, the report emphasised. The news, first reported by fashion trade publication WWD, highlighted that the luxury fashion has witnessed several transitions in key leadership and creative director roles.
Luxury goods major Kering, the owner of Gucci, appointed Renault chief Luca de Meo as its new CEO last week, succeeding Francois-Henri Pinault, who has helmed the family business since 2005, Reuters stated.
Leading luxury houses are also banking on new design direction to reignite shopper interest, amid a pullback in fashion spending driven by rising prices. In an earlier development, Dior appointed Jonathan Anderson, its menswear designer, to head womenswear designs and haute couture as well.
Several top fashion houses, including Chanel, Versace, Valentino, and LVMH-owned Celine, have also undergone designer shake-ups, as per the report. (With Reuters Inputs)
