Canadian athletic apparel retailer Lululemon Athletica has entered into a partnership with Tata CLiQ to open its first store in India as well as ecommerce on their luxury and fashion platform in the second half of 2026, as per reports.

As far as the presence of the company is concerned, it enjoys a footprint in over 30 markets across the globe. This involves North America, Asia Pacific, China Mainland and others. Earlier, the reports added that the company’s global team paid a visit to India to scout for locations. The company opened a tech hub in Bengaluru around four years ago to drive global growth.
As companies look to cash in on the rising demand for fitness and athleisure wear, India presents a compelling opportunity with a population of over 1.4 billion. The company designs, distributes, and retails athletic apparel, accessories and footwear. The reports added that sales of around six major sports brands have seen a significant uptick in India in recent years.
