Patanjali Foods Marks 71% YoY Surge In Net Profit In Q3

The company marked a 15.07 per on-year growth in its revenue from operations which rose to Rs 9,103.13 crore

Patanjali Foods, an edible oil major has witnessed a healthy improvement in its financial performance as it registered a 71.29 per cent surge in its standalone net profit in the recently concluded quarter of the current financial year (Q3FY25). The company’s net profit stood at Rs 370.93 crore in Q3FY25, compared to Rs 216.54 crore in the year-ago period

The company’s financial results revealed a 15.07 per YoY growth in its revenue from operations which rose to Rs 9,103.13 crore during the recently concluded quarter. The revenue in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal stood at Rs 7,910.7 crore. Total income, including other income, stood at Rs 9,143.78 crore during the quarter, as against Rs 7,957.30 crore in the same period last year.

The company recorded earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 581.24 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 390.63 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal. EBITDA margin was 6.4 per cent during Q3FY25 as against 6 per cent in the previous quarter. The company achieved export sales of Rs 67.27 crore during the quarter and had its export footprint in 29 countries during the same period.

As far as the segment-wise performance is concerned, the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry reported a decline in demand due to the ongoing pressure on urban consumption. The Food, FMCG and HPC segment recorded revenue of Rs 2,037.61 crore in Q3FY25 vis-à-vis Rs 2,498.62 crore in Q3FY24. This decline is largely in line with sluggish demand at the industry level, as per the statement from the company.

In Q3FY25, the edible oils segment recorded revenues of Rs 6,717.47 crore as compared to Rs 5,482.64 crore in Q3FY24, observing a 22.5 per cent YoY growth. The branded edible oils contributed to around 75 per cent of the total edible oil sales. In Q3FY25, the Biscuits and Confectionary segment grew by 1.64 per cent YoY from Rs 388.98 crore in the previous year to Rs 395.37 crore in Q3FY25.
