Phase one has been commissioned with the Continuous Polymerisation (CP) line, marking the first step in the company’s geographical expansion
Sanathan Textiles, an integrated and diversified yarn manufacturer, has commenced commercial production at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Wazirabad, Punjab. Phase one has been commissioned with the Continuous Polymerisation (CP) line, marking the first step in the company’s geographical expansion.
The facility has commenced production at 350 tonne per day, which is expected to gradually ramp up to 700 tonne per day in the next three to four months, the company said in an official statement. After the implementation of phase two, the Punjab facility will contribute 950 tonne per day. This will enhance Sanathan Textiles’ total installed yarn- yarn-manufacturing capacity from 2,23,750 MTPA at Silvassa to 5,70,500 MTPA across both locations.
While both plants are targeted to operate at optimal utilisation, their commercial focus will be strategically differentiated. The company highlighted that Punjab will prioritise building a strong local ecosystem and focus on green manufacturing practices, primarily catering to North India’s textile market.
On the other hand, Silvassa, with its proximity to India’s western ports, will focus on meeting both domestic and export demand, thereby strengthening the company’s global footprint. The company’s existing manufacturing facility in Silvassa continues to serve western India and southern India and international markets.
Sanathan Textiles has a diverse product portfolio catering across various sectors with more than 3,200 yarn products and nearly 50,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs). The company has over 400 distributors across India and exports to around 27 countries.
