The company aims to significantly scale its fan business and cross Rs 100 crore in revenue over the next two to three years
Singer India on Thursday marked the listing of its equity shares on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). The company is already listed on BSE and is expanding its presence in the consumer appliances segment, with a strong focus on the fans category as a key growth driver.
The company is introducing a comprehensive range of fans across ceiling, exhaust, TPW and pedestal categories, spanning both induction and BLDC technologies. Leveraging its strong brand recall and extensive distribution network, Singer India aims to significantly scale its fan business and cross Rs 100 crore in revenue over the next two to three years.
In the first nine months of the current financial year, the company reported revenue of Rs 391 crore, reflecting a growth of 26.1 per cent year-on-year. Profit before tax (excluding exceptional items) stood at Rs 10.2 crore compared to Rs 4.4 crore in the corresponding period last year, representing a growth of over 130 per cent.
“Our additional listing on the National Stock Exchange marks an important milestone in Singer India’s journey and further strengthens our engagement with the capital markets. This milestone comes at a time when the Company is witnessing strong business momentum, supported by market share gains, premiumisation and a sharper focus on innovation and product development,” stated Rakesh Khanna, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Singer India.
Company’s growth has been led by market share gains in the evolving household sewing machine segment, where consumers are upgrading to modern, motorised, lightweight and efficient Zig-Zag machines. The company has also recorded healthy growth in high-speed industrial sewing machines, alongside steady performance in conventional categories.
Singer India is also strengthening its digital and ecommerce presence, where it is already a leading player in the sewing machine category, to drive growth across both sewing machines and home appliances. The company acknowledges the support of the Centre, including the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in strengthening quality standards and enabling domestic manufacturing.
