Spencer’s Retail has reported widening of its net loss to Rs 58.34 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year, as compared to Rs 47.34 crore in Q3FY25. The company has reappointed Anuj Singh as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) for a further term of three years, effective 22 March 2026.
The financial results of the company revealed that the revenue from operations also dipped to Rs 502.86 crore in the recently concluded quarter from Rs 516.97 crore in the same period a year ago. The company’s total income declined to Rs 504.18 crore in Q3FY26 from Rs 520.03 crore in Q3FY25.
The total expenses of the company came down to Rs 562.58 crore in Q3FY26 from Rs 567.44 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The company’ total income in the nine months of the current fiscal year came down to Rs 1,380.31 crore from Rs 1,675.59 crore in 9MFY25.
“Anuj Singh has been re-appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) and also as a Key Managerial Personnel of the company for a further term of three years with effect from 22 March 2026, subject to the approval of the members of the company,” it said in a regulatory filing.
Singh is a seasoned business leader with three decades of broad-based, commercial experience in leading Indian and global fast-moving consumer goods, food service and retail organisations. He spent his formative professional years in India across sales and marketing roles before moving to Europe and later to the Middle East in senior leadership roles driving innovation, category growth and P&L responsibility.
