Thomas Cook India has partnered with quick commerce platform Blinkit to offer doorstep delivery of its borderless multicurrency card forex cards. The service is initially available in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai and will be rolled out in other major source markets in phases.

The initiative covers Thomas Cook’s borderless travel card for leisure travellers and study buddy card for students. Customers can place orders on Blinkit, complete KYC and payment through a secure Thomas Cook link, and finish video-KYC verification. Cards are loaded and ready for use shortly thereafter, allowing travellers to access foreign currency within an hour from their homes, as per the official statement.

“Quick commerce is reshaping customer expectations across categories, and we saw a clear opportunity to integrate this into foreign exchange, which has become essential for international travel,” said Deepesh Varma, Executive Vice President – Foreign Exchange, Thomas Cook (India).

The move comes amid rising demand for digital-first and quick commerce solutions in India. The sector has grown from USD 300 million in 2022 to USD 7.1 billion in FY25, with projections indicating potential growth to USD 35 billion by 2030.

“To save travellers time and hassle, we have collaborated with Thomas Cook India to enable the convenient delivery of blank forex cards through Blinkit, right to their doorstep. We handle delivery, while Thomas Cook India manages the secure video-KYC process and card activation. Together, we are turning what was once a time-consuming task into a simple and seamless experience for customers,” said Anish Shrivastava, Senior Vice President – Revenue, Blinkit.

Thomas Cook India said the service complements its existing digital initiatives, including Ghar Pe Forex and integrations with WhatsApp, Google Pay, and TC Pay. Blinkit manages delivery logistics, while Thomas Cook oversees activation, compliance, and customer support.
