V2 Retail added 49 stores in Q2 FY27, while same-store sales growth moderated to 0.5 per cent from 7.5 per cent in Q1
Gurugram-based value fashion retailer V2 Retail reported a 28.4 per cent year-on-year increase in standalone revenue to Rs 905 crore in the second quarter of FY27, according to its business update filed with the stock exchanges. The company reported same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 0.5 per cent during the quarter. V2 Retail added 49 stores during the period and closed three outlets, continuing its store expansion across the quarter.
The Q2 performance moderated from the previous quarter. In Q1 FY27, V2 Retail’s standalone revenue had increased 58 per cent year-on-year to Rs 997 crore from Rs 630 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. SSSG in Q1 FY27 stood at 7.5 per cent, while monthly sales per square foot reached Rs 886. The company had attributed the performance to improved operational efficiency and higher sales productivity during the quarter.
V2 Retail said its performance was supported by an analytics-driven assortment strategy and a merchandise-focused approach. According to the company, these methods helped strengthen merchandise planning and align its product mix more closely with customer demand.
V2 Retail’s shares fell more than 3.5 per cent during Thursday’s trading session. The stock touched an intraday high of Rs 208.94 and a low of Rs 197.71, before trading around Rs 200.85. The company’s shares have declined 8.29 per cent, or Rs 18.15, over the past month. On a year-to-date basis, the stock has fallen 17.79 per cent.
V2 Retail is currently trading 22.53 per cent below its 52-week high of Rs 259.25 and 16.75 per cent above its 52-week low of Rs 172.03. The stock has closed higher in four of the last 10 trading sessions.
