Aimed at strengthening Welspun’s and Gujarat’s position as a global manufacturing hub and reinforcing its leadership in the home textiles sector, the company has unveiled the Welspun Home Solutions terry towel manufacturing plant in the state. Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, virtually inaugurated the plant.
This new facility will generate over 3,000 direct and over 10,000 indirect employment opportunities, taking the total workforce at Anjar to approximately 30,000 employees. Welspun will become the world’s largest terry towel manufacturer under a single roof providing a diverse range of product, the official statement noted.
“Every disruption at Welspun has taught us not to just stand back but to scale higher. Stability, rapid adaptability and value-based execution are not reactions to tough times, they are our way of life. When people feel respected, systems are strong and purpose guides decisions, obstacles ultimately turn into progress,” stated Dipali Goenka, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Welspun Living.
The company pointed out that the Anjar plant will now be known as the world’s largest towel manufacturing facility. This plant is equipped with advanced technologies and a diverse product range, the statement highlighted.
