The company has attributed the price revision to an increase in procurement costs, which have surged by Rs four to five per litre in recent months

Adding to the cost burden of the consumers, Mother Dairy has decided to hike the milk prices by up to Rs two per litre, effective 30 April 2025, as per the media reports. The company has attributed the price revision to an increase in procurement costs, which have surged by Rs four to five per litre in recent months.

As per the company’s notification, the revised prices will take effect in Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Uttarakhand from Wednesday, the reports added. The early onset of summer and heatwave conditions have impacted the milk production and supply, resulting in a surge in procurement costs.

The price revision will be implemented across all markets where the company operates. After the revision, the price of full cream milk has risen to Rs 69 from Rs 68 for the 1,000 ml pack and Rs 35 from Rs 34 for the half-litre pack. The prices of toned milk (bulk vended) have been revised to Rs 56 per litre from Rs 54 per litre in the Delhi-NCR, the reports highlighted.

The double toned milk will now cost Rs 51 per litre, as compared to Rs 49 per litre earlier. The report added that the cow milk prices have been revised to Rs 59 per litre from Rs 57 per litre. The company’s toned milk will now cost Rs 57 per litre, instead of Rs 56 per litre.
