Fashion, Flavors and Ferraris: Festa Italiana Dazzles Delhi In Debut

The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) recently organised Festa Italiana, which had its grand opening at DLF Emporio Mall for the first time in New Delhi on the first week of December 2023.

Festa Italiana has demonstrated the IICCI’s steadfast commitment to advancing Italy’s unique lifestyle brands in India since 2002 showcasing the Italian quality in various industries, including fashion, clothes, furniture, design, sports cars, motorcycles, cuisine and wine.

Brands like TechnoGym equipment, Vespa, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati motorbikes, and Carrera sunglasses participated during the event.

During the occasion, visitors could enjoy a live opera symphony and excellent entrées while witnessing a gourmet display of Italian cuisine.

The fashion presentation featuring the brand Vaishali S was the highlight of the evening. Distinguished attendees were adorned with Janavi and Bvlgari jewelry.

Claudio Maffioletti, CEO of IICCI, discussed that the potential of the Indian market is huge and still largely untapped, especially in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

He mentioned that the Indian market also offers great opportunities for less-known Italian brands, with outstanding products not yet represented in India.

He informed us about future projects that can enhance the penetration of established Italian brands and new brands making a foray into the Indian market with sustained awareness and branding campaigns.

While addressing the topic of sustainability, he stated the need for sustainability and traceability of a certified supply chain soon to be made compulsory by the EU’s regulatory framework.

Fashion and trends go hand in hand and are constantly changing concerning customer preferences. Citing the major differences in the shopping experience concerning consumer behavior globally, Mafflioletti commented that customisation and exclusivity are strategic to all luxury fashion brands globally, and India makes no exception.

Raymond presented this initiative with the Embassy of Italy in India and ENIT, the Italian National Tourism Board. The event was generously sponsored by Codognotto, DLF, DS Group, Future Generali, Marposs, SDA Bocconi Asia Centre, and India Sotheby’s International Realty.
