Lenskart Solutions Q4 Revenue Up 46%, Profit Declines Despite Margin Gains

Robust growth in sales and sharp improvement in operating margins underline business momentum, even as bottom-line performance weakens in the March quarter

Lenskart Solutions reported a mixed performance for the fourth quarter, with strong revenue expansion and improving operating efficiency offset by a fall in net profit. Revenue for the March quarter climbed 45.6 per cent year-on-year to Rs 2,515.7 crore, compared with Rs 1,727.5 crore in the same period last year, supported by steady demand and continued growth across online and offline channels.

Ebitda rose 84 per cent year-on-year to Rs 538.4 crore from Rs 293 crore, while margins improved significantly to 21.4 per cent from 16.9 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year.

Despite the operational improvement, net profit declined 8.6 per cent year-on-year to Rs 200 crore from Rs 218.8 crore.

Following the earnings announcement, shares of Lenskart Solutions slipped to an intraday low of Rs 480.50 on the NSE, down 2.7 per cent from the day’s high of Rs 494.

The overall performance points to stronger operating leverage for the eyewear retailer, even as profitability at the net level came under pressure.

Lenskart Solutions operates one of India’s largest omnichannel eyewear networks, offering prescription glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses through its online platform and extensive retail presence across India and overseas markets.
