The brand says that it will continue to focus on deepening its footprint through a cluster-led expansion strategy that enables operational efficiencies
Chinese Wok, the Desi Chinese quick service restaurant (QSR) brand from Lenexis Foodworks, has entered Calicut with its first outlet at Lulu Mall. With this, the brand has scaled its Kerala footprint to ten stores and South India network to 90 outlets.
The company said that Calicut represents a key strategic market for Chinese Wok as the brand continues to expand across high-potential tier 2 cities. With a strong mix of local consumers, students, professionals and GCC travellers, the city represents an important consumption market for organised QSR brands, it added.
With 90 stores across the region and a growing presence in Kerala, the brand said that it will continue to focus on deepening its footprint through a cluster-led expansion strategy that enables operational efficiencies and stronger brand recall.
“Calicut is an important market in our South India growth journey, with a young and evolving consumer base that increasingly values organised dining experiences. The city’s vibrant food culture and strong demand for quality, affordable meals make it a natural fit for Chinese Wok. We are delighted to bring our signature Desi Chinese offerings to Calicut as we continue strengthening our presence across Kerala and South India,” stated Arvind R P, Chief Executive Officer, Lenexis Foodworks.
The outlet will be operational for dine-in, takeaway and delivery. The company added. Last month, the brand marked its entry into its 50 cities across India. The company opened its first outlet in Belagavi (Belgaum) in June.
