Handmade in Rajasthan, the premium vodka marks a milestone in Globus Spirits’ journey to redefine India’s alco-bev landscape
Globus Spirits, one of India’s leading spirits companies, has announced the launch of Terai India Craft Vodka, the world’s first vodka filtered using amethyst crystals. With this pioneering innovation, the company strengthens its commitment to elevating premium spirits in India through world-class craftsmanship and bold experimentation.
Produced at the Terai distillery in Behror, Rajasthan, the vodka is crafted from locally sourced rice using bespoke methods to deliver a bright distillate. What sets it apart is its unique finishing process—filtration through amethyst crystals—creating a smooth and playful drinking experience that sets a new benchmark for the premium vodka segment.
Speaking about the launch, Shekhar Swarup, Joint Managing Director, Globus Spirits, said: “At Globus Spirits, our vision is to create world-class products that blend Indian tradition with global innovation. Terai India Craft Vodka, with its amethyst crystal refinement, is a first for the world and a bold step in our premiumisation journey. We are confident it will resonate strongly with discerning urban consumers who seek authenticity, craftsmanship, and distinction in their spirits.”
The vodka has debuted in Jaipur and Udaipur, priced at INR 2,245 for a 750 ml bottle. It will soon be rolled out across Delhi, Gurgaon, Goa, and Mumbai through leading retail outlets and select premium channels.
With a distilling heritage dating back to 1958, Globus Spirits has been steadily expanding its premium portfolio. Following the success of Terai craft gin, the launch of Terai craft vodka underlines the company’s ambition to cater to India’s evolving premium alco-bev consumers.
