IndoBevs Signs Strategic Alcobev Pact With Russia’s Abrau-Durso

The MoU signed at the India–Russia Summit positions IndoBevs as the only alcobev player securing a bilateral partnership at this year’s forum

IndoBevs has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abrau-Durso, Russia’s leading alcoholic beverage producer, during the India–Russia Business Forum held alongside the 23rd Annual India–Russia Summit. With this signing, IndoBevs becomes the only alcoholic beverage company to formalise a collaboration as part of this year’s Summit engagements.

The MoU lays the foundation for long-term cooperation in alcoholic beverage manufacturing in India. Under the agreement, IndoBevs will produce, distribute and promote Abrau-Durso’s portfolio for the Indian market while jointly exploring opportunities for exports across neighbouring regions.

The pact was formalised by Vikas Kumar, Co-founder, IndoBevs, and Anastasia Polyanskaya, representing PJSC Abrau-Durso, in the presence of senior government and industry stakeholders from both nations.

Commenting on the partnership, Vikas Kumar said, “This MoU represents an important step in IndoBevs’ international expansion and reflects the growing trust and cooperation between Indian and Russian businesses. By combining Abrau-Durso’s global expertise in premium wine production with our manufacturing and distribution strengths in India, we aim to introduce high-quality products tailored for Indian consumers while also building an export-led growth roadmap.”

Sharing her perspective, Anastasia Polyanskaya stated, IndoBevs signs an MoU with Russia’s Abrau-Durso at the India–Russia Summit, becoming the only alcobev company to formalise a partnership at the forum“India is a historical and strategic ally for Russia, and for Abrau-Durso it is a market of great trust and opportunity. The memorandum signed today is our confident step towards expanding our presence and reaching a fundamentally new level. We value this partnership and see tremendous potential for growth. This document is only the beginning of a great collaboration.”

The collaboration encompasses a wide scope: joint production, recipe development, packaging and labelling innovations, exchange of scientific and technical expertise, and professional skill development. Both companies will also facilitate expert exchanges to support knowledge transfer and operational excellence.

A Joint Working Group will be set up to identify specific projects, oversee implementation and monitor progress. Commercial production and product rollouts will follow in phases, subject to technical and regulatory clearances.

The strategic partnership is part of a broader set of bilateral agreements unveiled at the 23rd India–Russia Summit, which focused on deepening cooperation across trade, manufacturing, technology and industry. The inclusion of the alcoholic beverage manufacturing sector marks a significant expansion of India–Russia economic engagement into consumer-driven industries.

With India emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing alcobev markets, the IndoBevs–Abrau-Durso collaboration is expected to accelerate product innovation, premiumisation and manufacturing-led growth, while also supporting employment and capability-building within India’s beverage ecosystem.
