Kaapi Machines Secures Rs 50 Cr Equity Investment From Sedna Horeca

The partnership will help expand Kaapi Machines’ product portfolio, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and improve its technology stack, warehousing and service infrastructure

Kaapi Machines, a coffee equipment and services provider, has secured an equity infusion of Rs 50 crore from Sedna Horeca, a private equity-backed comprehensive business-to-business (B2B) Horeca solutions provider, while also entering into a strategic partnership.

The partnership will help expand Kaapi Machines’ product portfolio, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and improve its technology stack, warehousing and service infrastructure. In addition, Kaapi Machines will pursue select new opportunities in adjacent product categories for its core customer base, also leveraging Sedna’s capabilities.

“We are excited to partner with the Sedna team as we set forth on our new growth trajectory at Kaapi Machines. As the Horeca industry continues to grow and gets more organised, we want to expand our capabilities to offer our customers new and innovative products, technologies and solutions,” stated Abhinav Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kaapi Machines.

Advay Capital Advisors served as financial advisors, with ALMT Legal as legal counsel to Kaapi Machines. Sedna was advised by K Law. Kaapi Machines aims to cross 150 crore in revenue this financial year (FY) and will pursue broader business expansion over the next two to three years.

“The partnership with Abhinav and Kaapi Machines is a highly synergistic addition to Sedna’s capabilities given their deep domain expertise, brand equity and pan-India service network catering to a fast-growing category, and reinforces our vision of building India’s most comprehensive B2B platform for the food service ecosystem. We look forward to working closely with Abhinav and team to unlock new opportunities for Kaapi Machines and Sedna and deliver even greater value to Horeca brands across the country,” said Saurabh Pandey, Managing Director, Sedna Horeca.
