Starbucks Unveils 48-Hour Steeped Cold Brew

Bold flavours meet artisanal craft as Starbucks introduces Zesty Orange and Coconut Cold Brews for a refreshing summer experience

As temperatures rise, Starbucks India is setting a new benchmark in coffee craftsmanship with the launch of two innovative cold brew beverages designed to elevate the summer sipping experience. Celebrating the brand’s meticulous 48-hour steeping process, Starbucks has added Zesty Orange Cold Brew and Coconut Cold Brew to its already popular cold brew portfolio, each crafted with single-origin Kenyan beans and a commitment to artisanal excellence.

With this launch, Starbucks continues to lead India’s evolving coffee culture, where customisation, quality, and creativity are at the heart of consumer choices—particularly among Gen Z coffee drinkers. These new offerings join the brand’s existing favourites like the Classic Cold Brew, Vietnamese Cold Brew, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, Ginger-ale Cold Brew, and Nitro Cold Brew.

“With our Cold Brew, we are not just introducing a beverage – we are introducing a culture of craft,” said Mitali Maheshwari, Head of Product and Marketing, TATA Starbucks. “The 48-hour steeping process, our use of premium single-origin Kenyan beans, and our inventive new flavours like the Zesty Orange and Coconut Cold Brew are all tailored for a new generation that values both quality and creativity.”

A Taste of Summer: The New Brews
Zesty Orange Cold Brew: A double-layered drink infused with zesty orange flavour, sparkling soda, and topped with a candied orange garnish for a refreshing citrusy kick.

Coconut Cold Brew: A tropical blend combining cold brew coffee with coconut water and coconut jelly, offering a smooth and island-inspired twist.

“What makes Starbucks Cold Brew truly stand apart is the depth of intention behind every cup,” added Vibhor Mishra, Coffee Ambassador for APAC & China and Regional Director – Operations, South and East. “Our 48-hour steeping with single-origin Kenyan beans—known for their citrusy brightness—creates a complexity and smoothness that simply can’t be rushed.”

Cold Brew, Reimagined for a New Generation
At the core of this cold brew experience is patience and precision. The Kenyan beans are slow-steeped for 48 hours, one of the longest cold brew methods in the world, extracting deep, full-bodied flavours while preserving the coffee’s natural brightness. The result is a smooth, energising brew that appeals to seasoned coffee lovers and new consumers alike.

Whether you’re embracing cold brew for the first time or a devoted fan, Starbucks invites customers across India to experience coffee with a purpose—brewed with care, inspired by craft, and steeped in passion. This summer, flavour truly meets finesse.
