New app category unites high-protein, low-calorie, and no-added-sugar options, helping users make mindful food choices every day
Swiggy unvield EatRight, a new category on its app aimed at helping users make healthier food choices part of their everyday routine. The feature brings together the company’s existing health-focused offerings, High Protein, Low Calorie, and No Added Sugar under a single, easy-to-navigate experience, now live across 50 cities in India, according to media reports.
EatRight consolidates Swiggy’s health-focused menu options, allowing users to browse dishes such as high-protein biryanis, low-calorie salads, and no-added-sugar beverages, all without changing their regular ordering habits. The category features over 1.8 million EatRight-enabled dishes from more than 200,000 restaurants, accessible simply by searching “EatRight” on the app.
According to Deepak Maloo, Vice President – Food Strategy, Customer Experience and New Initiatives, Swiggy, EatRight aims to integrate healthier options into users’ regular ordering habits. He said the category is designed to reduce decision fatigue through clear categorisation and make mindful eating a sustainable everyday habit rather than a one-time resolution.
Swiggy also noted that healthier food orders are growing fastest in Tier-2 cities, with Fridays emerging as the most popular day for such meals. Ingredients like tofu and soya and healthy smoothies have seen particularly strong traction, reflecting a rising appetite for nutritious options.
Partner restaurants are responding with protein-rich pizzas, biryanis, burgers, and no-added-sugar coffees, while over 30 brands, including Subway and EatFit, offer exclusive discounts on EatRight items to make healthier eating more accessible.
