Company states that Amul Masti Dahi pack meets all quality requirements mentioned under FSSAI as well as its internal quality standards
After a video circulating on social media raised concerns over the quality of Amul Mast Dahi, the company has now issued a clarification, stating that the claims are misleading and could create unnecessary fear among consumers.
In an official statement, the company noted that a video shared by YouTube creator Trustified, which claimed that the company’s product failed quality tests, has been widely circulated on WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
“We wish to clarify that we have gone through our manufacturing process as well as quality clearance reports for batch number SR04CM bearing use-by date 07 December 2025. The Amul Masti Dahi pack meets all quality requirements mentioned under FSSAI as well as Amul internal quality standards,” the company’s statement pointed out.
Amul further added that Masti Dahi is manufactured in ISO certified dairies using state-of-the-art facilities and go through more than 50 stringent quality checks, including various hygiene related tests before the product is dispatched to the customers.
“We would also wish to clarify that Amul Masti Dahi packed in pouch as well as cup, undergoes the same processing and hygiene steps with only the difference in the packaging to cater to the specific needs of the consumers. The difference in price has no relation to hygiene standards followed but is due to the difference in cost of packaging materials,” the company pointed out.
The controversy stems from a YouTube video by Trustified which claimed that the company’s product failed several quality checks. The YouTuber alleged discrepancies between the nutritional value printed on the packs and the test results. The video claimed that the declared fat content was 3.10 gram per 100 gram, while the test results showed fat content of 3.51 gram per 100 gram. However, BW Retail World could not verify the claims independently.
