The brand unveils its first-ever estate-exclusive coffees from Coorg — Nullore, Margolly, & Karadibetta — honouring India’s coffee heartlands and generations of skilled farmers
Tata Starbucks is celebrating India’s rich coffee heritage with the launch of its first-ever estate-exclusive single-origin coffees, sourced from the Nullore, Margolly, and Karadibetta estates in Coorg, Karnataka. Building on the success of its India Estates Blend, which first brought national attention to the country’s coffee origins, this new range takes a deeper dive into the heart of India’s coffee-growing belt — honouring the people, biodiversity, and traditions that define every bean.
Each coffee in the trio represents the distinct terroir and craftsmanship of its estate. Nullore Estate, located at 910 metres above sea level, offers a medium-light bodied Arabica with tasting notes of red apple, nutty sesame flower, and sweet lemon acidity — a balanced yet vibrant profile shaped by circular farming and a lush canopy of native trees. Margolly Estate, with roots tracing back to the 1850s, grows its Arabica at 980 metres and features Barhi date, cinnamon bark, and forest honey notes. Its pepper vines, rainwater harvesting systems, and evergreen canopy make it a model of sustainable cultivation.
Karadibetta Estate, perched at 1000 metres, produces a high-altitude Arabica known for its complex layers of jamun plum, ginger, and sweet tulsi, offering an aromatic, medium-bodied cup that mirrors the biodiversity of Coorg’s highlands.
Each package in the collection showcases intricate illustrations celebrating Coorg’s wildlife and biodiversity — from the Grey Hornbill of Nullore to the elephants wandering through Margolly’s pepper trails. These designs embody Starbucks’ ethical sourcing practices and its respect for the communities sustaining India’s coffee traditions.
Speaking on the launch, Mitali Maheshwari, Head of Product & Marketing at Tata Starbucks, said, “India’s coffee origins carry the rich legacy of their people, with stories spanning centuries. We’re proud to share the distinct flavours and craftsmanship of Coorg through these iconic estates, harvested for the first time for Tata Starbucks. Each single-origin coffee in this range reflects its unique terroir, biodiversity, and the passion of its farmers — brought to life in every cup.”
Joining Starbucks’ globally celebrated single-origin line-up from Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, this curated Indian range underscores the brand’s commitment to spotlighting the world’s most distinctive coffees while championing India’s own specialty estates.
The Starbucks Indian Single-Origin Whole Bean Coffees — Nullore Estate, Margolly Estate, and Karadibetta Estate — will be available across select Starbucks stores in India, starting at Rs 495 for a 150g pack. With this launch, Tata Starbucks not only celebrates the flavours of Coorg but also deepens its connection to India’s centuries-old coffee story — one that continues to shape the global coffee conversation, one cup at a time.
