Centre Invites Proposals For Establishing Food Testing Laboratories

Thali Costs Ease in October as Key Veg Prices Fall

The final date and time for submission is 5 PM on 20 January 2026, the ministry notes in an official notification

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has invited proposals from eligible prospective entrepreneurs for establishing food testing laboratories with NABL accreditation. This is under the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Infrastructure (FSQAI) component of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY).

The final date and time for submission is 5 PM on 20 January 2026, the ministry highlighted in an official notification. The statement added that applicants must submit a non-refundable demand draft as per scheme guidelines.

“Applicants must submit a non-refundable demand draft as per scheme guidelines, payable to: Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, New Delhi. A scanned copy must be uploaded with the application, while the original must reach the ministry within one week after the last date of submission,” the official statement added.

The ministry noted that a pre-bid meeting will be held on 02 December 2025. As far as the technical support is concerned, the statement pointed out that the link for online submission and the complete application form will remain available until 20 January 2026.
