Premium cookware brand unveils Kozhikode outlet, plans to expand exclusive stores to 50 by 2027
Premium cookware and kitchen appliance maker Wonderchef has opened its 34th exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in Kozhikode, marking the company’s first retail presence in Kerala as it expands its footprint in regional markets.
The store was unveiled on the occasion of International Women’s Day and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to scale its exclusive outlet network to 50 stores by the end of 2027.
Located in Kozhikode, the new outlet aims to tap into growing demand for premium cookware and kitchen appliances in southern India, where the company sees strong consumer interest in innovative and health-focused cooking products.
The opening was attended by Sanjeev Kapoor, co-founder of Wonderchef, and Ravi Saxena. Kapoor said Kerala’s rich culinary tradition and appreciation for quality cooking made the state a natural market for the brand. He added that the company was looking forward to bringing its product innovations closer to households in the region.
Saxena said southern India, particularly Kerala, has consistently been among the company’s most discerning markets, with consumers seeking products that combine innovation, convenience and healthier cooking. He said the Kozhikode outlet reflects the brand’s effort to deepen its presence in such markets as part of its expansion strategy.
The new store offers customers an interactive retail format, featuring live product demonstration zones and displays of the company’s latest range of cookware, kitchen appliances and healthy cooking solutions. The format is designed to allow customers to experience the products before making a purchase.
Wonderchef said expansion into tier 2 cities and regional markets will remain central to its retail strategy as it seeks to strengthen its direct consumer presence across India.
