Allcargo Logistics Expands Ahmedabad Network To Support MSME Growth

Logistics major strengthens transportation and warehousing capabilities in Gujarat’s key manufacturing hub to improve nationwide connectivity for MSMEs and enterprises

Allcargo Logistics has strengthened its presence in Ahmedabad, one of India’s major industrial and manufacturing hubs, as the company looks to enhance transportation efficiency and support MSME growth across Gujarat.

The integrated logistics provider said the Ahmedabad cluster contributes nearly 80 per cent to Gujarat’s trade and industrial ecosystem, making it a strategic focus area for the company’s domestic supply chain and consultative logistics operations.

According to the company, engineering and machinery account for 40-45 per cent of regional shipment volumes, followed by pharmaceuticals at 30-35 per cent and textiles at 10-15 per cent. These sectors collectively contribute around 85 per cent of Allcargo Logistics’ regional volumes.

The company operates two Ground Distribution Warehouses (GDWs) in Ahmedabad to improve first- and last-mile connectivity. Shipments are consolidated at its Ahmedabad Surface Transshipment Centre (STC) under a hub-and-spoke distribution model aimed at enabling faster nationwide deliveries.

In Gujarat, the company also manages multi-client facilities and in-plant logistics operations for leading automotive and engineering brands, offering customised warehousing and integrated supply chain solutions.

Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director and CEO of Allcargo Logistics, said Ahmedabad continues to emerge as a high-potential manufacturing hub driven by MSME-led growth across engineering, pharmaceuticals and textile sectors.

He added that the company’s expanding express distribution network and consultative logistics capabilities are designed to improve supply chain efficiency, reliability and market access for businesses across India.

The company said its services include end-to-end pickup and delivery, cash-on-delivery (COD) facilities, warehousing, first- and last-mile delivery solutions and selective air cargo movement, enabling seamless shipment movement across North, South, East, West and Central India.

Allcargo Logistics also reiterated its long-term ESG commitments, including its target to achieve 100 per cent carbon neutrality by 2040.
