Collaboration will see Amber manufacture smartphones for OPPO, OnePlus and Realme, strengthening local value addition and expanding its electronics manufacturing footprint
Amber Group has entered into a manufacturing collaboration with Oppo Mobiles India (Oppo India), marking a significant step in its expansion into the fast-growing smartphone manufacturing segment.
Under the agreement, Amber Group will manufacture mobile phones for brands operated by Oppo India, including OPPO, OnePlus and Realme. The partnership aims to combine the brands’ global product expertise with Amber’s manufacturing scale, operational capabilities and local supply chain strengths.
The collaboration comes as smartphone brands continue to deepen local manufacturing and value addition in India, in line with the country’s broader push to strengthen domestic electronics production and reduce import dependence.
According to the companies, the partnership reflects Oppo India’s confidence in Amber Group’s ability to deliver quality, consistency and scale. For Amber, the agreement represents a strategic milestone as it broadens its role in electronics manufacturing and builds new growth avenues beyond its traditional business segments.
Commenting on the development, Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amber Enterprises India Limited, said the collaboration reinforces the company’s manufacturing credentials and its ability to support globally recognised consumer technology brands.

Both parties will work together on a phased production ramp-up and will explore opportunities to deepen their engagement over time. The collaboration is also expected to contribute to higher local value addition and support the development of domestic supply chains within the smartphone manufacturing sector.
The move further highlights the growing role of contract manufacturers in India’s electronics industry, as global and domestic brands increasingly partner with local players to scale production and meet rising consumer demand.
