Apple is reportedly planning to introduce an affordable version of AirPods later this year, according to a media report on Tuesday.
Foxconn subsidiary is likely to take on the manufacturing of these pocket friendly Airpods, which are expected to be produced in India by the end of this year, the report said additionally.
Last year, the company was in the news for a similar progression and was reported for planning to introduce two new AirPods models like entry-level and mid-tier in September or October.
Both models were claimed to have a fresh design, having improved sound quality and an updated charging case with a USB-C port.
The mid-tier model was also expected to have an active noise cancellation upgrade and a speaker for location tracking.
Meanwhile, it remains uncertain whether the lower-priced AirPods and the entry-level fourth generation AirPods are identical products, but it is a reasonable assumption.
Apple’s AirPods collection presently provides a variety of choices to cater to diverse preferences and budgets.
