Avenue Supermarts, the owner and operator of the retail chain DMart, reported an 18.51% increase in standalone revenue from operations, reaching Rs 12,307.72 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. This compares to the revenue from operations of Rs 10,384.66 crore in the same period the previous year, as stated in a regulatory filing to BSE.
In the regulatory filing, Avenue Supermarts shared the company’s update at the end of the quarter, stating, “Standalone Revenue from operations for the quarter ended September 30, 2023, stood at Rs 12,307.72 crore.” As of September 30, 2023, the total number of DMart stores was reported to be 336.
During the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal year (FY22), Avenue Supermarts’ standalone revenue was Rs 7,649.64 crore.
Promoted by Radhakishan Damani and his family, DMart specializes in retailing basic home and personal products across various markets, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, NCR, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
