Elevating convenience without compromising budgets, ‘Pockethero’ redefines cost-conscious food delivery across Indian cities
Swiggy introduced Pockethero, an in-app free online ordering service designed for cost-conscious consumers. With discounts of up to 60 per cent, Pockethero aspires to be the preferred economical option for users.
According to executives, the platform will feature a curated list of restaurants located within a three-kilometre radius of the customer. Individuals with limited budgets or those who are stringent about their expenses usually do not use food delivery apps regularly. This demographic encompasses students residing as paying guests, individuals who have recently relocated to a city for their initial employment, and even families with young adults.
Sidharth Bhakoo, VP & National Business Head, Swiggy commented, “Pockethero aims to make food delivery accessible to a set of users who today may find online food delivery less value for money”. He further added, “It delivers the best of discounts from our partner restaurants and gives free delivery on top of it to give our customers a taste of convenience without having to think much about their pockets.”
The service is currently available in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Chandigarh, with upcoming launches planned for Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
