Yum Restaurants India sold its whole 4.4 per cent share in Devyani International on Wednesday for Rs 871 crore in an open market transaction. Devyani International, the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operator, is a franchisee of Yum Brands, which runs KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell in India.
SBI Mutual Fund (MF), Axis MF, Franklin Templeton MF, Nippon India MF, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, Ghisallo Master Fund LP, Singapore Government, Societe Generale, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore were among the purchases of Devyani International’s stock.
According to block deal data accessible on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Yum Restaurants India sold 5,30,83,330 shares, representing a 4.4 percent interest in Devyani International.
The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 164.10 per, bringing the total transaction value to Rs 871 crore.
Yum Restaurants owned more than 5.30 crore shares in Devyani International as of December 31, 2023, representing a 4.40 percent ownership.
QRG Investments and Holdings sold Rs 100 crore worth of Campus Activewear shares in a separate block sale on the NSE.
QRG Investments and Holdings sold 40.65 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 245 each. The total deal value is Rs 99.59 crore. As per NSE data.
