Father’s Day Weekend: Wallet orders Up 1,100%, Perfumes See Demand Surge

Instamart says that Father’s Day demand was led by Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi, which emerged as the country’s biggest gifting markets on the platform

As Indian consumers moved beyond predictable gifts and leaned into more personal ways of celebrating dads, the Father’s day weekend a rise in wallet and perfume orders. Data from Instamart revealed that wallet orders grew nearly 1,100 per cent and perfumes recorded 100 per cent growth.

While chocolates continued to be a popular Father’s Day staple, the standout trend was the return of the humble greeting card. Orders for Father’s Day cards skyrocketed by more than 120 times compared to regular days.

While grooming kits grew by over 40 per cent, wellness and self-care products continued to feature strongly in gifting baskets. Electronics recorded strong growth versus the previous weekend, with wireless earbuds, smartphones and personal tech accessories emerging among the most popular Father’s Day purchases.

“From handwritten cards and classic wallets to premium fragrances, gadgets and wellness products, Father’s Day 2026 showed that consumers are increasingly looking for gifts that combine convenience with thoughtfulness, proving that sometimes the most meaningful gifts are the most personal ones,” the company said.

Protein bars and nutrition-focused products featured prominently among the most-ordered non-chocolate Father’s Day gifts, reflecting growing consumer interest in fitness, wellness and everyday self-care.

Instamart noted that Father’s Day demand was led by Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi, which emerged as the country’s biggest gifting markets on Instamart.
