Flipkart Minutes Celebrates First Anniversary With Nationwide Festivities

Quick commerce arm marks milestone with city activations, digital experiences, and launch of ‘Minutes That Move India’ report

Flipkart, India’s homegrown ecommerce marketplace, has celebrated the first anniversary of its quick commerce offering, Flipkart Minutes, with a series of on-ground activations and digital experiences across major cities from 18–20 August. The three-day celebration was aimed at thanking customers for making Flipkart Minutes part of their daily routines while spotlighting its rapid rise as one of the country’s fastest-growing quick commerce services.

Launched in August 2024, Flipkart Minutes has registered 50 per cent month-on-month growth, drawing over 50 million unique visitors and delivering millions of orders across 19 cities and 2,900+ pin codes. Built on Flipkart’s supply chain and tech-led operations, the platform today offers more than 900 curated product categories spanning essentials, personal care, beverages and electronics.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, Mumbai’s Carter Road was transformed into a vibrant brand zone, complete with a colourful umbrella installation providing a cheerful monsoon shelter. In Bengaluru, employees at ETV Doddanekundi office enjoyed a surprise vending machine activation dispensing cupcakes, reinforcing Flipkart Minutes’ promise of instant delights. Digitally, a playful WhatsApp voice-note activation invited customers to send birthday wishes to the Flipkart Minutes bot in exchange for deals and surprises.

A special Minutes Birthday Bash Sale ran during the celebrations, with customers spending Rs 300 or more receiving a limited-edition Flipkart Minutes birthday box for just Rs 1.

Marking the milestone, Flipkart also unveiled its first annual report, ‘Minutes That Move India’, offering insights into how instant delivery is reshaping consumer behaviour across India’s 19 serviced cities. The report tracks evolving preferences, mood-driven shopping and the rising demand for quick convenience across households.

Looking ahead, Flipkart Minutes plans to expand its reach, deepen brand and farmer partnerships, and strengthen technology-led operations. With speed, selection and reliability as its pillars, the platform is positioning itself at the forefront of India’s quick commerce evolution, aiming to make everyday shopping faster, more accessible and more engaging.
