Ample Group and the Lego Group have unveiled the country’s first and South Asia’s largest Lego Certified Store spanning over 4,500 sq. ft., which marks the beginning of a bold retail expansion in India
In a landmark moment for India’s retail and toy industry, Ample Group and the Lego Group have unveiled the country’s first and South Asia’s largest Lego Certified Store at Ambience Mall, Gurugram. Spread across more than 4,500 sq. ft., the immersive and interactive retail destination promises to spark creativity, imagination, and joy for families and children alike.
This launch is a strategic milestone for both Ample Group and the Lego Group, reinforcing their shared vision of blending global experiences with local engagement. The vibrant space is not just a store, but a multi-sensory destination designed to promote creative, hands-on play that helps reduce screen time while developing essential communication and cognitive skills in children.
Rajesh Narang, Founder and CEO of Ample Group, said, “At Ample, we have always believed in creating meaningful experiences by bringing the world’s most iconic brands closer to Indian consumers—be it Apple, Bose, Under Armour, ASICS, and now Lego Group. With this launch, we are not just opening a store but building a space where families can come together to imagine, play, and create memories.”
With India’s economy projected to grow by 6.3 per cent in 2025, fuelled by rising consumer demand and robust government support, the retail sector is ripe for innovation and expansion. The Lego Group’s entry into India’s certified store format, in close collaboration with Ample, reflects growing confidence in the Indian market’s appetite for experiential and educational retail.
Bhavana Mandon, Country Manager, Lego India, shared her excitement: “Today is not just about opening a store—it marks a pivotal moment in Lego India’s journey, one that celebrates the power of play in its truest form. We’re thrilled to partner with Ample Group to bring this experience to India. The energy, creativity, and passion we’ve seen here show that India’s Lego moment has truly arrived.”
Ample Group, established in 1996, has long been at the forefront of premium retail development in India, with a strong portfolio of over 100 stores across technology, lifestyle, and entertainment sectors. It aims to maintain a CAGR of over 30% in the next five years by leveraging strategic partnerships and expanding its footprint with iconic global brands.
Following the Gurugram launch, Ample plans to open another Lego Certified Store at Orion Mall in Bengaluru. Over the next five years, the group intends to establish 30 Lego stores nationwide—each designed to be an inspiring hub of creativity and joy for both children and adults.
With this move, Lego Group and Ample Group have firmly planted the bricks for a dynamic new chapter in India’s retail journey—one built on the universal power of play.
