Archies Names Hanisha Gandhi First Woman Executive Director

The appointment marks a milestone in the gifting giant’s 46-year legacy, blending tradition with fresh leadership for a new growth phase

 

Archies, India’s popular gifting brand, has appointed Hanisha Gandhi as its Executive Director, the first woman – and the first outsider – to hold the role in the company’s 46-year history. The landmark decision signals the brand’s intent to pair its rich legacy with a renewed vision for reinvention and growth.

Hanisha’s journey with Archies spans more than 14 years. Rising through the ranks after starting under the mentorship of the company’s senior leadership, she most recently served as Vice-President – Sales, where she spearheaded revenue growth, expanded the retail footprint, and drove customer acquisition, while laying the groundwork for Archies’ entry into new markets.

Reflecting on her appointment, Hanisha said, “It feels both an honour and a responsibility to be appointed as the first woman Executive Director in Archies’ history. This is not just a personal achievement but a social milestone, showing women everywhere that barriers can and should be broken. My vision is to make Archies reach as many customers as possible, serving them with quality products while balancing tradition with innovation.”

She emphasised that personalisation, affordability and sustainable gifting would be central to Archies’ evolution, aiming to re-establish the company as India’s most loved gifting brand. Plans are under way to launch a new range of aspirational yet affordable products, supported by deeper consumer insights, trend-driven campaigns, and stronger engagement with younger, digital-first audiences.
