Lenskart Brings Spain’s Meller Sunglasses To India

The eyewear retailer expands its premium portfolio with Barcelona-born Meller, targeting fashion-focused consumers across 500 stores

Lenskart has introduced Spanish eyewear label Meller to the Indian market, several months after taking ownership of the Barcelona-origin brand. With this addition, it will continue to broaden its high-end, fashion-forward offering while pursuing its vision of creating a global house of design-first eyewear brands.

Meller, founded in Barcelona, has emerged as one of Europe’s fastest-growing direct-to-consumer sunglasses players, especially popular among Gen Z and Millennial shoppers across Europe and the U.S. In FY25, the brand’s parent, Stellio Ventures, posted revenues of Rs 272 crore, while Ebitda stood at Rs 44.3 crore with a margin of 16.3 per cent. Profit before tax came in at Rs 43.2 crore, reflecting a margin of 15.9 per cent.

Recognised for its bold frames, bright colour palettes, and aesthetic influences drawn from Barcelona’s street culture, Meller has cultivated a social-media audience of more than 700,000 followers. Lenskart will sell the entire Meller sunglasses portfolio through its online platforms and retail stores.

The brand’s first phase of availability spans 500 Lenskart outlets, chosen using GeoIQ data to reach trend-conscious consumers and regions with high sunglasses demand.

The rollout aligns with Lenskart’s strategy to curate a global house of brands, joining its existing labels such as John Jacobs, Owndays, and French brand Le Petit Lunetier, in which it recently invested.

Peyush Bansal, Co-founder and CEO, Lenskart, said Meller’s digital-native strength and international following make it a strong fit for the company’s vision. “With Lenskart’s distribution, supply chain, and technology strengths, we’re committed to creating the next wave of global eyewear brands,” he said.

Meller co-CEO Marco Grandi Blanch described the India launch as a major step for the brand. “Partnering with Lenskart gives us the platform to take our vision to a global scale,” he said.
