US sportswear maker taps Bollywood actor to strengthen presence in fast-growing Indian market
New Balance has appointed actor Janhvi Kapoor as its first brand ambassador in India, the US sportswear company said on Wednesday, as it steps up efforts to expand in one of its fastest-growing markets.
The company said the partnership is aimed at strengthening its connect with younger consumers and reinforcing its focus on performance-led footwear and apparel in India. Kapoor’s public profile across films and fashion aligns with the brand’s emphasis on individuality and self-expression, New Balance said, adding that the collaboration would support its broader growth strategy in the country.
