Starbucks Marks 100 Mumbai Stores With Anamika Khanna Totes

A Creative Tribute to Mumbai’s Spirit and Heritage

As Starbucks India marks a significant milestone with the opening of its 100th store in Mumbai—where it began its journey 12 years ago—it unveils an exclusive collaboration with celebrated couturier Anamika Khanna. This partnership brings to life a collection of 16 bespoke tote bags, each reflecting Khanna’s signature design ethos and celebrating the city’s essence of coffee, connection, and conversation.

The collection captures Mumbai’s vibrant character by celebrating its unique neighbourhoods, from the old-world charm of Fort’s historic architecture to Bandra’s eclectic street art, Andheri’s relentless hustle, and the city’s enduring status as the “city of dreams.” Each tote bag tells a distinct story, evoking the essence of its neighbourhood’s culture and energy.

Available across 16 key Starbucks locations in Mumbai—Andheri, Bandra, Borivali, Chembur, Colaba, Fort, Juhu, Kandivali, Malad, Mulund, Navi Mumbai, Parel, Powai, Thane, and Worli—the limited-edition tote bags offer customers an artistic keepsake.

The versatile bags are thoughtfully designed with three carrying options—traditional, tote, or detachable crossbody—featuring metal hooks, snap fasteners for adjustable sizing, and an interior that includes multiple pockets for everyday essentials like accessories, stationery, an umbrella, or a water bottle. A metal hook ensures keys remain easily accessible, making the bag practical for the bustling lifestyle of Mumbaikars.

Sushant Dash, CEO of TATA Starbucks, remarked on the collaboration, “Starbucks’ milestone of 100 stores in Mumbai is a celebration that underscores the city’s love for coffee alongside the indomitable spirit of its people. Against the background of a vibrant culture, our collaboration with Anamika Khanna brings to life a merchandise collection that diverges into 16 customised creations, each inspired by a different neighbourhood of Mumbai.”

Anamika Khanna shared her excitement about the partnership, stating, “Designing these tote bags to reflect Mumbai’s vibrant energy and diverse neighbourhoods has been an exciting experience. Starbucks has revolutionised coffee culture in India, creating shared moments and transforming how we experience coffee. This collaboration celebrates not only Mumbai’s dynamic vibe but also the community and conversations Starbucks has fostered.”

The limited-edition tote bags, priced at Rs 2,400, are available across all Starbucks stores in Mumbai, offering coffee lovers and art enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of this artistic celebration of the city.
